TCT 2007 Hailed As a Success

By attending last month’s TCT 2007 trade fair in numbers exceeding 2,000, the UK design and manufacturing community made the latest edition of this time-compression technologies show a resounding success. That’s the judgment of the event’s organizer, Rapid News Publications, which calls TCT “the UK’s foremost exhibition for product design and innovation technologies.” The two-day event, which took place September 26–27 in Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, focused on rapid product development and rapid manufacturing technologies.

Visitors who came from 27 countries got to view the exhibits of more than 100 companies. Featured at TCT 2007 was the launch of many new products being presented for the first time in the UK. Rapid News Publications acknowledges that the success of the show is due in large measure to the efforts of exhibitors to ensure that TCT is a must visit for anyone working in design and development.

Mark Blezard, managing director of Rapid News, thanked the exhibitors accordingly, and extended his company’s appreciation to the headline sponsors EOS and Huntsman Advanced Materials. He sees TCT as possibly the premier event for rapid product development and rapid manufacturing technologies in the world, not just the UK.

The positive feedback from the event has been extensive. Duncan Wood, TCT event director, says, “We have had an excellent response from our exhibitors, sponsors, and visitors alike. The move to the Ricoh Arena has been well received, and the development of the show has resulted in an increase in visitors, and thus leads for our exhibitors. We are delighted with this success and look forward to building on the momentum we have created for 2008.”

TCT 2008 will take place October 21–22, 2008, again at the Ricoh Arena. It will be co-located with MMLive 2008, a new exhibition for the micromanufacturing industry.
