Smart campus is one of the markets that H3C focuses on, and the safety management of student apartments has become a key scene in the current construction of smart campuses. In order to help realize the intelligent management of campus, H3C joined hands with Deschmann, a top smart door lock manufacturer in China, to create a LoRa® smart door lock specially designed for campus scenarios.
The whole solution relies on the core architecture of H3C IoT “one network, one platform”. The solution consists of four parts: smart door locks, integrated IoT gateways, Oasis IoT platform and door lock management platform. The smart door lock in the solution is networked with LoRa devices and can support the standard LoRaWAN® protocol. The smart door lock cooperates with the door lock management application based on the Oasis Internet of Things platform to realize the unified issuance of students’ check-in lists, and the real-time upload of students’ unlocking records.
The LoRa wireless networking smart door lock realized by the combination of LoRa devices and the Oasis IoT platform has the following characteristics:
・ 6 unlocking methods: fingerprint, password, card, mechanical key, WeChat applet and remote unlocking on the management platform
・ Low power consumption: battery powered (4 cells on the 5th), with a battery life of more than 1 year (calculated by opening the door 10 times a day)
・ Self-built network: self-built network on demand, data security is guaranteed, and no additional network charges are required
・ Strong coverage: For floors with a corridor length of less than 70m, only one indoor LoRa gateway can be used for coverage on each floor
・ Large number of accesses: a single LoRa gateway accesses at least 400 door locks
・Integrated converged network: Adopt indoor converged gateway solution, perfectly integrated with IoT AP, low network construction cost
・ Convenient management: LoRa gateway and door lock application are managed in a unified manner through the platform, which greatly reduces operating costs
・ The door lock management application supports quick docking with the one-card system, enabling easy business online
・ Students’ fingerprints are entered through the WeChat applet, and the fingerprint data is stored locally in the door lock to protect students’ privacy
